Hi all,

I've noticed over last few weeks my hazard lights sometimes will come on as I start the engine up and stay on until I turn off the hazards.

Is this something that occurs before something actually fails by
Way of a warning or just a quirk the car has picked up over the years?

Faulty hazzard light switch or third party alarm issue if one is fitted maybe

Is your alarm ok, do the hazards flash randomly when you indicate at all?

No everything is fine with the car, the hazard switch was recently replaced and to be honest the first time it ever did it was when the fuel pump went and the engine kept cutting out. It has a standard Audi alarm.

It doesn't do it every time just something i noticed the other day.

Thats strange, I would recommend getting the car scanned for any fault codes, as that will help and also maybe worth disconnecting and reconnecting the hazard switch to see if that makes a difference, it could be a faulty switch that you have purchased.

Mine (Audi A3) started doing it recently too - just as this cold weather hit. Each time it has been accompanied by a sluggish engine start; this is the car telling me the battery is low on charge. Check your battery (Amp hours) ... could be as simple as replacing the battery with a new one. Hope this helps!

Mine did this right before my battery died.
