Full beam issues after cruise retro-fit... Is the full beam stalk meant to stay forward when you push it?

Hi,

I've bought a B8 (58 plate) and the previous owner had cruise retrofitted and now the full beam doesn't work and I want to get it sorted.

With my full beam stalk, if I pull it towards me, the full beam does flash, all good... However, if I push the stalk away from me, full beam doesn't come on but also it doesn't click and doesn't stay forward. As soon as I stop pushing, it just returns to the normal position... Is this normal or should it stay forward until I pull it back (to turn off full beam)?
