Hi all, I’m after some help with faults that have come up after I fitted my car with a tow kit.
I’ve got a 2017 SQ5 3.0tdi and fitted the bar without any big issues. I purchased the specific wiring kit for the car.
It doesn’t have trailer prep so I had to splice in 3 wires. Having followed all the instructions. When I’ve reconnected the battery I have fault codes showing and some kit not working.
Car is saying the sports diff has a malfunction, TPMS and auto hold brake aren’t working. Stability control light is on.
I have checked the codes with Carista which shows the following,

CAN network gateway:
01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded

Engine:
04327
04330

ABS:
01324 - Control Module for All Wheel Drive (J492)
01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded

Adaptive cruise control:
01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded
01314 - Engine Control Module (ECM)
01316 - ABS Control Module

All fuses are ok. The tow electronics work, I get all the lights on and it shows on the dash.

Questions are, when I get the tow kit coded will the faults go or will I have to get other coding done looking at the above, is the car ok to drive?

Thanks for reading and hopefully some advice.

They will clear once coded.

Awesome, I was hoping they would. I was trying to see if all the faults were on the same ecu, which would explain. Ta for the reply.
