I think it'll take more than new bumpers and a pair of electric mirrors to placate me. Almost 3 months wait and still no build date. My wife and I have purchased 7 new Audis between us since 2009 and seriously think I'll move to another brand after this. We picked up a Q2 for my wife yesterday, factory order just took 2 months. But the way we've been treated over our A4s is a disgrace. We've had ****** all from Audi in terms of updates, apart from the facelift document last week.
I'll be demanding a serious discount from my dealer over this.

Following my previous thread about the order delays due to WLTP: https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threa...-orders-due-to-wltp-emissions-testing.375337/

I thought I’d post a separate thread to see what peoples’ thoughts are on possibly receiving the facelift model due to their order being delayed. Seems that one or two are under the impression that they might get one. Thoughts, anyone?

Should of just continued talking about all this on that thread or the Facelift B9 thread. Information is now getting split across 3/4 threads.

Anyway. Quite a few people now without BWs have been told they’ll get a MY19 facelifted models. Orders still aren’t being accepted and haven’t been for at least a month now. So chances are no one will get a build week for a MY18 model. Only thing someone could possibly get is an order the dealer has already placed months ago. These are probably built or locked for changes. So no good to a customer who wants to spec their car.

It seems no MY18 models will be built after BW31 (for UK market at least) as they can’t guarantee delivery before 31st August, after which all cars sold need to be WLTP compliant.

It could be possible that some people might get a BW sometime this month for a car to be built from BW31/32. This would mean delivery around 1st September. If the first MY19 models are built exactly from BW31 there’s even the possibility of getting a MY19 car the end of August before the official WLTP date because all MY19 cars will be compliant.

@DaveW to be fair to Audi it’s WLTP holding things up and added to that, the facelift is being launched at the same time. Unfortunately it’s not good for you and you’ve waited 3 months with no build date.

It’s early for the facelift, I’d say WLTP has forced factory changes so they have decided to push forward the facelift to suit. You would have thought they’d know rough timelines for builds going forward, I find it hard to believe they have empty schedules for the factory from now till Christmas.

Haha forgot my original reason for posting @f1nny they can’t build a non compliant Car after August but they are allowed to sell them, something like 10% of last years figures.

Yes, they have some leeway but I expect that will be used up with the hoards of pre-built, yet to be allocated cars. I think is it quite normal to have a lot of dealer ordered cars sat at Emden and UK ports as well as the forecourts. As such, Audi will be keen to cease production and get models compliant ASAP.

Maybe... if they do have a lot of stock the lease deals will be pushing in strong...

my guess is they already emptied the barrel hence the long lead times. When I bought my Tiguan Allspace a few months ago all the dealers I rang said they had any builds not associated to a customer cancelled by VW. I managed to get a customer cancellation rather than wait to January, I suspect it would be the same Group wise to avoid the stock.

I really do feel for people that have been waiting for a while for cars, and now will have to wait longer.

I believe that was old April news, they have announced since the 10% rule as long as they were built before June.
And again in May though, if you can find out there has been a change in the governments position all well and good. However I've not seen any...

I hope your right, will help me get a few more quid off my Allspace which I have been assured can be registered on a 68 plate.
