Exhaust Tips

My original exhaust tips on my 2.0T Sline are looking a bit old and won't seem to polish up despite alot of elbow grease!

I have found a set on ebay which look pretty cheap and are meant to fit the A3, but I'm just not sure how easy they will be to fit.

Getting the new ones on should be ok (providing they are the correct size) as I fitted a set to my old Mk2 TT, but how do I get the old ones off? Is it a case of brute force or is there a certain nack?

Thoughts please?

I tried getting some off an old Leon exhaust with a hammer and chisel, wouldn't budge! So good luck mate!

That sounds pretty brutal! What was the end result?

There normally just on with small tack welds m8, a dremel
Or grinder will remove them easy.

I don't own either. Will I be mad trying to attempt this with a junior hack saw?

On my09 s line tdi they just pull straight off there's 3 spring like clips attached to the inside of the tips which hold the tips to the actual exhaust
