Evening all - New Scottish Member

Hi there,

Decided to sign up after lurking around as a guest for the past wee while!

I'm Alli, based near Glasgow and . Recently turned 35 and whilst at work was browsing pistonheads for a new daily to cheer myself up. I spotted a '65 plate S3 down near Leeds - 24hrs later the deal was done and my Black Edition 2.0Tdi A1 was gone and a shiney white S3 was on the driveway.

This is my first foray into quattro, I've had a few nippy cars previously - quickest being a 500hp Supra. I had a little play with an S3 back then and was impressed by its launch speeds hence one of my own was on the radar one day, stage 1 map should make the OEM car a little fruitier. I'm also a biker with a ZX636R and GSXR occupying the garage, these will be going soon though to fund the build of a bigger garage for the S3 and any other spur of the moment strains on my bank account!

Very nice indeed. Hope you had a great drive. How did you enjoy?

Unfortunately my commute is only around 30miles, a mix of A and B roads, I seem to have averaged 33-36mpg from 2 return trips with a couple of reasonablely quick spurts. Pretty happy with that. The car certainly draws some looks - I put it down to it being a very white WHITE as its a pretty quiet engine/exhaust tone.... maybe have to change that too! Hah

Too much reading/youtube videos of downpipes/exhaust systems and remaps and so on. Lots of combos... think I need to attend a meet with lots of alternatives to make my mind up in the 'real world'.

Any meets coming up local to me? Glasgow? Knockhill?
