Please can anyone help with the following problem :-
I've had the EGR mapped (due to having many problems) on my 1.6 2011 diesel A3 - the thing I have notice is that if I'm doing a lot of smaller town journeys, after a couple of weeks it starts running fast when stationary ( the rev needle normally sits under the 1 marker, however when running fast it's above the 1 marker and the temp gauge climbs up to 90 .
if I do a car run up the motorway in high revs for about 20 mins everything goes back to normal.
could it be the dpf or maybe a temp sensor ?
Any help you would be appreciated.
