DRL with VCDS

Hi guys,

First of I've got a pre-facelift 8P A3 Sport TDI (was an 04 plate before I exported) which I have bought a set of LED park light bulbs for -They are so bright I keep them on during the day as DRL. What I'm wanting to do now is program the car using VCDS to keep the park lights on all the time as daylight running lights, partly so I don't have to switch them on and off all the time. Now I know this can be done in simple terms, but is it possible to set the car to keep only the front park lights on, not the tail+numberplate lights as well.

1. Can this be done
2. Has anyone done this and is able to explain how to do it?
3. I have VCDS Lite (currently unregistered) would It be possible to do it with that?

Good questions.
My facelift has the DRLs that come on with the headlights and when the switch is turned to side lights.
Can they be programmed to be on at all times ?
Trying to read between the lines, it may need a VCDS ??
