We pay car tax to drive on the roads - check.
We pay VAT on the cars to drive on the roads we pay tax on - check.
We pay VAT on the fuel that we put in the car that we pay tax on to drive on the road we pay road tax - check.
We pay VAT on all items associated with the car (tyres, oil, electrics etc) that we put in/on the car that we pay tax on to drive on the road we pay road tax- check.
You get the picture.
But now as we drive (pardon the pun) forward to EV by 2030, the government knows it will loose £40billion a year on fuel duty we will now be taxed to drive on the road !!!
Oh wait a minute, I thought we already paid that. WA#84ers
