Drivers door window not working

In desperate need of help I have a 3 door a3 8p and the drivers door window motors down about 3 inches then stops. It won't go down any further but it does go straight back up. It suddenly did this one morning and was working fine the day before, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have a search for 'door window regulator ' as that is likely the issue. You can buy a repair kit to fix a busted door regulator mechanism, but does require the door to be dismantled almost completely, so can be a bit involved.

I'm not 100% certain that it is the issue for you, but it is a relatively common problem as the mechanism wears over the years of use.

Best buying a genuine regulator. Can be done by yourself if your capable of doing stuff.
