Door drop?

Think my drivers door have dropped.

From time to time, have close the door harder than usual or slam it. Other times its fine and it shut as it should.

Just noticed the other day that door latch have a notch in it.
Is it from the lock?
Can the doors be adjusted?

Cannot really tell by looking at the shut door trims alignment, as they look ok.

You should be able to move the striker down if the door alignment looks okay.

There will be a couple of Torx head fasteners under the aftermarket stick on trim

Do you know if door alignment is available on these doors?
If so, is it located by the hinge?

Have you tried rocking the door up/down to see if there’s any play in the hinges. Could be that the pins and or bushes have worn and need replacing.

Never experienced this on an Audi, but this is what needed doing when it happens on my old r5 gtt

Will give it a go next time I get to the car.

Thinking if I can turn the latch around so the notch doesn't show.

If you turn the latch round it won’t stop it striking and the door will just keep dropping over time.

A set of new hinges aren’t that much, just have to get them sprayed.

Will see if the latch can be adjusted

Turning them over was an idea only of hiding the notch.
Will see what can be done
