Do I need this?

Hi there,

Drove over a speed bump and heard a cracking noise. Got out of the car and found this on the ground..

I looked up the part number and discovered it's a jacking bracket. Do I need to replace this immediately? Or can I drive around town and not worry about? Thanks for your time!

Mine fell off months ago - I'm going to squeeze a new one out of Audi at the first service! Wouldn't worry too much...

Yep as batch says ok to drive round ..I would replace it though..

Okay will do. Just out of curiosity what's the purpose of that part? Only when jacking up the car? Any other purpose? Thanks.
