HELLO ALL, DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF ITS POSSIBLE TO DISABLE THIS FEATURE ON MY 2010 S3...ITS A REAL PAIN NOT BEING ABLE TO START THE CAR FROM OUTSIDE,WHEN WORKING ON IT.I APPRECIATE ITS A SAFETY FEATURE BUT REALLY ANNOYING ESPECIALLY WITH THE BUCKET SEATS.THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Also want to know if this is possible as I find this as unecasery use of the clutch and is one of the things i hate most about the A3.

Not possible. Many manufacturers adopt this as a safety feature to stop owners starting the car whilst in gear. It's also meant to reduce stress on the starter motor and battery although I'm not sure why or how.

Surely it would have been better to to have it only start in neutral "as a safety feature" rather than having to press the clutch in when the car is out of gear for nothing.

Any way of removing the wire from the sensor and twisting them together theoretically making a circuit.

Works with the brake pad sensors..
