Different Sized Tyres

Will be putting on winter tyres on my 3.0tdi sline quattro, it has 18ins.
If i get new wheels can I get a set of 16in wheels with 215/55 r16 on them as fitted to other models in the range? Or will it cause issues etc?

This has been asked before and it was a bit of an emotive issue if I remember. I think there was comments that 16's don't clear the calipers. I can only confirm that I use winter tyres on 16's alloys without any issue. My tyre size is the same, 205/55/16.

Not sure if your calipers and discs are the same as mine.....that would be the issue I guess.
