Defrost side windows on cab..es

Hi Guys,
Probably a silly question really, when ya A4 Cab side windows are frozen up is there a way to stop them freezing to the rubbers? Have this horrible feeling that when you grab the door handle and the glass has to drop that half an inch electrically the window reg's gonna go bang!! Sorry if it's been asked before, couldn't find owt.

I think I put silicon grease on the rubber around the top of the doors

Glycerin? It's what I use on the door rubbers to stop them freezing to the metal - dead cheap, get some from your local chemist. Mike.
