Hi all,

i am new to the site, i have a 2001 S3 which needs new CV boots, does have a rough idea of how much these cost to get changed, i will get these done by an independent - don't want to be fleeced by Audi !

I've just had one replaced on my S3. The boot kit including a new hub nut was £30 from audi but under a tenner from a local motor factor, i went for oem.

I attempted to fit it myself but after struggling to split the cv joint from the driveshaft took it to my local vag independant and was charged £40 labour, which also included the brakes bleeding.

I still have the part numbers if you want them.

Oh and welcome to the site

Thanks Wibble,

I am going to ask a local place to give me a price tomorrow, my brother uses them for his A4 and says they are quite reasonable on price, so hopefully they will be less than £200 to replace both.

Should be less than that by amile. Where are you from? And welcome to the site

Bit far away then, i was going to say the guy i use for all things mechanical is really good and cheap
