Facelift Cruise Control Unavailable Fault

Got an issue with the cruise control on my car, it seems to cut out with a message saying "cruise control unavailable".

Weirdly, it only seems to happen in the mornings and it seems to cut out when going up or down a hill. I've scanned with VCDS and there were no faults logged.

Has anyone had this fault or could point me in the right direction as to what it could be?

Check the measuring block for your brake pedal to see if it’s faulty or sending an incorrect signal. Pedal on at 1% is not enough to slow the car but will disengage CC.

I checked the brake pedal switch and it looked to be functioning as it should be, which is slightly annoying because the brake switch would probably have been the cheapest fix! Anything else I should check?
