Afternoon all

Just bought a second hand (R reg 1998) A4 SE 2.4 v6 and drives like a dream so far.

However, when I first start the car (after approx 1-2mins) the coolant warning indicator comes on (with beeping) in the main LED display.

It usually stays on for 10 mins or so before clearing.

Any clues as to why??

Have I got a problem (still under warranty)

Not technically minded so you may have to keep it simple

Welcome. Stupid question but have you checked the coolant level? If its above the mark then I could only think its a faulty sensor.

will any kind of coolant do the job?

also whats the best oil to stick in one a A4 1.9 TDi

Hi
No you cannot mix the coolant
You may have the G12 which is pink in colour
If it is blue then it is G11
Lilac is G12+
GSF usually sell it , but you cannot mix pink and blue!!!!
