Hi all,

I need some advice on the CAN Bus. I'm currently retrofitting memory seats and have tapped into the CAN wires going to the reversing camera, under the rear seats.

Basically I can't get VCDS to talk to the seat module, power is getting to the seats, so I'm assuming it's not correctly wired up on CAN. Some googling I see mentioned different types of CANs - I'm wondering if I need to tap into some other wires, the Comfort CAN?

This is really annoying as I'm nearly there after replacing the seat wiring etc.... thought all was left was some coding.

Edit:
Just found this quoted from another post
"The Convenience bus is for: door control (J386/7/8/9), comfort system (J393), parking aid (J446), electrical (J519) & memory seat control (J136)."

So looks like I can tap into the CAN wires going to the rear camera?

Cheers

You need to check elsawin to confirm which bus the B9 uses for your seats, you can't use any bus.

Cheers - I think found the correct wires.

I thought it was going to be like BMW - you can tap into any of the CAN wires
