The missus came back and switched the engine off. Hot enough for the radiator fan to be running flat out (noisy, isn't it!). Seemed to go on for a long time so I got back into the car intending to turn the ignition on and check for warning lights. Only I noticed that the display was still on. I could be dumb and this is normal but certainly don't recall seeing this before. Or is it a 'feature'? Turned the ignition on, fired up the engine, no warning lights so turned it back off. Radiator fan stopped. Central display went out. All as per normal.
In itself, could have been 'one of those things' but coupled with the another issue where it recently decided to reset the language back to German...all by itself.
I'm starting to get a bit concerned about intermittent reliability. 2012 Q3 50,000 miles.
