Car wont engage in reverse

Hi guys I have a A4 B7 2.0 TFSI DTM .
As of this morning I am not able to select reverse gear all the other gears work fine no grinding, clunking etc it was working last night. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can you engage the reverse gate at all or is it just blocked when you pushdown the gear lever to move into reverse?

Might be adjustment of levers?

A lot will depend on if he can get the lever depressed to start with.

It's a manual, I can push the knob down it just feels like there's something in the way
