Hello everyone, im Camilo from Chile and this is my S1:
this picture was from the day that i picked up him from the dealer...
Since im waaaay too far from Germany, configurating the car will take like 6 months to get it delivered here so i just had to buy the one they had in stock, this is only the 2nd S1 that they have sold here in Chile, they have a Blue Sepang demo car, a Red one and mine... Also they have a White/Daytona Gray 3 door and 2 sportbacks in stock. Yesterday i heard that the person who own's the red one just trade it in for a Q2 so at the time, mine is the only S1 on the streets so thats kind of cool and thats was one of the big reasons that i didn't choose the S3. I know there is 2 A1 Quattro's here in Chile but i've never seen one...
Well, basically my car is a 3 door Daytona Gray with Black roof pillars, has the quattro interior pack whit sport seats, Bose sound system and the Audi black package. Does't come with Nav system which is cool since they suck here in Chile and neither have heated seats which is also good for me. It has the flat bottom steering wheel, aluminum gear knob and 17" inch rims which is perfect for Chile, since most of the streets here are like ****. For some reason it came with red calipers but no quattro exterior pack. The only thing that i miss from my old A3 1.8T is the reverse camera, but since the car is so small is easy to park.
After a couple of weeks driving it stock, i took it to Revo's dealer in Chile (UHP) and got a complete Stage 1 (map and intake), also got a muffler delete installed. I chose Revo since UHP is the most reliable company here in Chile.
I was very pleased with the way the car felt after the stage 1 but since is never enough im planning on going for stage 2 in a couple of months... i wish i could do it before, but since basically mine is the only S1 in Chile, i cant find anything in stock here and i have to import all the parts from Europe and thats kind of expensive...
Any way I should be getting H&R springs, uprated front rotors and a Remus transponder next week.
Also I wasn't fully pleased with the outside look of the car so I got the mirrors and tailgate wrapped in black, and got a new set of wheels (Motegi MR127) with Yokohama AD08 (215/45 17) which im installing today.
Im planning on painting both Audi badges on black too. I wasn't very pleased with the sound of the exhaust also. I asked for getting a Remus or Milltek but with the shipping cost was CRAAAAAZY expensive, so i ended up taking both resonators out, and change the tips for some replica Akrapovic carbon tips from ebay. They look awesome, but i want to take out the Akrapovic logo.
This is how the car looks right now.
That's pretty much it... for now.
