This one was for a fellow Audi-Sport member who stays round the corner from me. A 3-year old beauty of a car. On the agenda for this was wash, clay, cleanse and wax. Brilliant weather for this one.

A big thanks to Sarah for the bacon butties, tea and HP sauce.

Wash and Clay
Autobrite's Super Snow Foam through the owner's AB Foam Lance on the mega setting.
Pressure rinsed.
Auobrite tar and glue remover applied to all lower panels. Lots of tar spots on this one.
Foamed again, followed by TBM-wash.
Clayed using Sonus Green and shampoo/water mix for lube.
Washed and rinsed again and pat-dried with PB WW towel.

Cleansing and Protection
Body was HD Cleansed followed by Carbon wax.
Wheels cleansed with JEFFS Acrylic Prime and topped with Acrylic Jett.
All windows, inside and out, were cleansed and protected with JEFFS ACrylic Prime.
Arches and tyres dressed with Poorboys Bold and Bright.

The afters show the usual wet, glossy look from the HD and Carbon.

Cheers again,
JOHN

I'd just like to say a massive thanks to John for all his hard efforts, help and advice with this - after the hours of hard work I've got a very shiny car to show for it (plus sunburn, a pressure washer that literally expired in a plume of smoke, and a bank balance that's looking very withered after spending some pennies with Polished Bliss!) but it's all definitely worthwhile! :icon_thumright:

Enjoyed the day and hopefully with some of my new products and knowledge gleaned from John I'll be able to keep on improving the car.

Cheers!

Chris

Some extra pics from my camera too:

The pics really don't do it justice - the extra depth to the paint and shine really have to be seen 'in the metal' - and this is without going anywhere near the car with a PC!

Also - the beading and sheeting achieved with the 2ymol Carbon is fantastic - it's almost as if it's water repellent now lol!

I thoroughly enjoyed the exercise Chris. A total of five hours was spent on this fair-sized car. Glad you like the outcome. It does look wetter and glossier now. Not only that, but water and grime now has more difficulty adhering viciously to the body making for quicker, less strenuous washes. And the car will come up this way after every wash for a long time.

Next clay should probably be around next spring time and top up with your new Natty's Blue say every month or six weeks. Your new goodies from PB will last you a while and will keep your car looking the way it is at the moment.

Cheers:icon_thumright:

 Looks great guys, using pigmented waxes on solid reds really does increase the depth and richness of the paint. Excellent job all round, get some of this great work entered in our monthly comp!

Amazing result.
