Brake calipers chattering

Odd one this. The front brake calipers seem to be chattering on their mounting bolts. The previous owner tells me he noticed this when he bought the car 5 years ago and the local garage took the bolts out and wrapped some insulation tape around the shank of the bolts to stop the movement.
Is this normal and is there a proper method to stop the chattering?

probly best to replace the slide pins and bushes, like these

and whilst ther replace the caliper retaining spring.

try the cheap easy bits, if that doesnt help maybe more wrong
