Exactly, I’m just glad I feel very covered here. 1. Their approved dealer fitted it. And 2. Its there downpipe, so cant blame it on that. Say for example if it was iroz notorsports make
Unlike the other items they actually know the RS3 very well and their remap has functioned as intended.
I’ll get a photo later on today mate... but looking at your photo, the Milltek exhaust looks way closer to the diffuser, mine has around an inch gap all round it...
...for some reason it’s not letting upload photos today?! But I can confirm my exhaust has a good lot more clearance than in your photo mate
Yeah about an inch all round here. I can stick my hand in the gap with a mitt and clean the exhaust tips easily.
fair play to you Billy for being the first....but this (amongst others) is the reason I wanted to wait a bit longer on getting an RS3 as I'd like to go straight in with tried and tested mods....so thank you....and I hope you get it sorted soon....great build...avid reader
I do get it if I sink my foot to the floor but I’m sure I read everyone gets it, even on the standard cars.
Billy are the exhaust tips bouncing or moving when ur driving causing the heat transfer to the plastic ?
I just called Miltek and spoke to someone there due to the annoying ticking we both get and he says they have had reports of this from other people, even Australia!. They suggest its cause by the Valve position, the reason you still have it with your new Miltek is they use Audis valves!. Im sure i saw someone post this too but they just confirmed this. He suggets this is whats causing the ticking. Since they dont do a none valved version for the RS3 we wont know until someone either has another backbox fitted such as ArmyTrix or has one made. Miltek did say they have another valve in development but its not ready. I hope it is this cause it was what i was originally told when i had mine taken apart.
Nope mate they are solid when trying to move by hand, maybe moving under engine breaking/accelerating but I can’t see that
Ahh good move phoning milltek, when I first got my Downpipe fitted back in February I got in touch with milltek and sent them videos and there response was that they have never heard that before and was no reported others having this issue and thought it was a fitting problem. Someone posted on my YouTube channel suggesting the valves as they use the same valves so hopefully like you say this is the cause and when they release new valves they will get them changed for us. When I’m next speaking to them about my exhaust issue I’ll drop this in. Good work c2wak
@billymc92 Any news on the fitment? Actually made a thread about the fitment few weeks back as I found the placing quite off from a picture and unfortunately the thing happened to you what I was afraid of..
Yes, Daves car running 110 octane and 556ps. The thing with Dragy is that it’s hugely open to abuse. There are people that will strap one to a mates Yamaha R1 or a tuned up GTR and pretend it’s from their own car. There will be people that lie about the mods list and power etc. That’s why you need a good old fashioned drag strip time slip with preferably video evidence (or others who can vouch for it) in order to prove your car these days. But yes, Daves being economical with the truth on that one. It’s having a TTE625 fitted to it aswell this week from what I’m led to believe.
Awwww, did I hit a nerve ? This isn’t my ‘build thread’ so my times are irrelevant. I didn’t say my time was quicker, I just was wondering why there was a difference between 2 similarly mapped cars by mrc. So relax buddy.
His slope is -0.58 so its not corrected time. Its more like 7.0 +- Depends do you keep in 4th or u shift 5 th gear before 200kmh or 125mph
The negative slope happens after 180~kmh. The 100-180 is still almost .5 of a second quicker which is still some difference if it where to be a side by side race.
Rear is perfect, fronts are widdeeeee haha! Couldn’t you get staggered front wheels? Why the mismatch of tyres?
I have got the staggered front wheels. The reason of mismatch is because I hit a pothole at 3k miles so I put a Michelin on it as I’m eventually changing all corners to these.
