I recently bought a pair of angel eye head lights, and despite telling the supplier that my motor is a pre-facelift model, they still sent me a set for 1999-2001. I have sent them back today and they have assured me that they will send out a set for 1995-1998 today. The thing is, the lights they sent are great and I can easily take my car to my dad's garage where he has all the proffessional kit to cut, weld & spray bodywork. Not a problem cutting the bit of metal away, but I would prefer to have the correct ones fitted.
Here's the problem:
This is the new light which has all the same screw attachment points and bulb connectors.
The old indicator which is separate to the original main lights slots into the thin metal.
This strip of metal isn't present on the facelift models and restrict the instalation of the new lights.
All that needs to be done is to cut away the strip of metal, treat the metal to prevent it from rusting and the new light will fit nice and snuggly
As you can see from the label on the box, they aren't for a 1998 model.
Well, that's all from me, sorry for the massive post! Is there anything else I should look out for or get replaced? The cambelt has recently been change. Any advice would be great thanks! <A href="http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/169144-ok.gif" target=_blank>
