Best sump sealant?

Swapped my sump over the other week,

For a slight dip coming from it now

So thought may as well have it off and do my rods as well,

So the question is what's the best sealant people use?

OE stuff is the best... it also is available non VAG branded a little cheaper (elring make it I think) but proper VAG stuff is nearly 20 quid a tube IIRC but would not use anything else personally

Best place to get it tps or such like? Any idea if the stuff on eBay is it?

That one on Ebay looks ok, but you can get it from TPS and its about £20, so for that piece of mind, if you have a TPS near you, get it from there.

When you had the sump off, did you do the oil pick up pipe change, if not, when you get it off again, its highly recommended to be done, again you can get it from TPS and its about £12.

I had my pick up pipe off and cleaned it at work was like a second hand newen,
