hi guys.

So I owe about £22,500 on my current S3 deal but for same mileage spec and age, they are selling for roughly between £26-28k with one even at £30k.

I have had it valued by webuyanycar and carwow and the highest I got back was £23,500.

Ideally I’d like to get £25,000 for it min at the very least that way I have deposit for my next car. Can’t bring myself to let it go for what they’re offering when they are still selling for £26k+ on the market.

Anyone had any experience of dealing with a company who can offer finance for it or who offer above average prices?

Thanks

Sold my S3 to Prestige Performance Yorkshire a few weeks ago, if you speak to them ask for Graham. Offered a competitive price and absolutely no hassle, no messing around trying to knock the price down the price agreed over message was what I got.

Think they’re actually forum sponsors because I mentioned the forum while I was there. I dropped my car off with them but I believe they also collect if you’d prefer that.

I did have slightly higher offers from Apex Performance Cars and Shaks Specialist Cars but they turned out to be a bunch of time wasters, goal posts and price constantly moving, reviews online also speak for themselves...

Sold my S3 on Tootle, to a company in Sheffield. Specialist cars or something, very easy and got what I wanted, more than part ex but not as much as private. Was a win win for me. They collected the car, paid off finance and was done within 30 minutes

Remember, what you see up for sale on a dealers forecourt, it's always the true value of that car. No dealer will offer you £25,000 for yours just because they have a similar spec / age / milage car sat on their forecourt. They need to make money out of it. Probably spent money making it forecourt ready. Need to offer a discount to the next potential buyer. Pay the staff, overheads etc.

If you like the S3, do you really need to change it? Why not wait till it get's to the end of the PCP deal. By then the new A3 will be out, and you may want one of them.
