Hi
Having collected my 2.0 TFSI (manual) at the end of December I've noticed noise from the gearbox that's louder than I expected. I initially put it down to everything bedding in but 800 miles later it seems no better.
The noise seems to be more prevalent when changing from 1st to 2nd or changing down from 2nd to 1st.
The only way I can describe it is that it seems notchy and you can hear the clutch engaging/spinning almost a grinding noise for a second or so, other gears I don't notice it.
In my previous A3 I was not aware of this noise at all. I'd be interested to know if it's a characteristic of the car or maybe something more sinister.
