2009 S-line what? with a navigation system? with radio, you don't give a lot to go on.

It sounds like the RNS-E navigation and someone has retrofitted it and not done a good job, either missed the coding or the wiring for the AUX or both in my opinion.

a3 sline I’ve checked it out and that’s the system (RNS-E) any idea on how to get the right disc for the update? And what do you mean by the coding??

So basically some herbert has put in an RNS-E to a car that was fitted with AUX previously. But they have not done the right thing. You need to move 3 wires from the main quadlock to a 32 pin grey plug for the R&L & gnd wires of your AUX cable and then code the RNS-E with VCDS tools to say it has AUX fitted. Simple really but all the ebay cowboys do it without any mods and don't do things like moving the BOSE wire if you have BOSE and recoding the RNS-E properly to suit all the options in the car.

One thing I thought of which it could be that it was a factory fit RNS-E that has been replaced and not coded correctly, but that is a long shot.
