automatic boot opening

struts arrived yesterday and just fitted them , took all of ten minutes . bit more effort required to make sure it latches properly when closing but apart from that delighted with them

Glad you are happy with them. Is your boot easy to close ? I mentioned this in my previous reply to you. If only I could get some help from them !

I only seen the PFL, but I was not looking for the FL version so I could be wrong.
They dont have any A3 in stock either way, but they always get more back in.

don't bother with emerald struts they are hit and miss if they open and in the winter they don't open at all stick with the polish ones they are much better in my opinion and open easier and close easier without using all your strength

I had the Polish ones but the gas struts failed (I think only one failed but it was enough to cause a problem), sounded like a Wookie when opening and closing and the boot only popped halfway.

Had to replace them with Stabilus (model: 1820BB) branded struts off a Ford Escort and swapped the springs over. They open the full way now, much smoother and easier to close than when I had the polish struts from new. Stabilus are OEM
