Hi All - I've signed up for this free service from Audi and was wondering if anyone has anything positive - the search in the forum was a negative review!

Looks like it's available for a number of manufacturers (VW, Skoda, etc) - but can anyone here recommend it?

This is what Honest John said regarding a VW question:

"The advantage is that the car will be properly repaired to Volkswagen retail standards and therefore won't lose its body warranty, and can be part exchanged at a Volkswagen dealer without serious penalty in the future. The disadvantage is that nothing is for nothing. And if Volkswagen has contracted with an accident management specialist to provide this service, then that specialist will earn its money by putting crash victims into expensive 'credit hire' cars for the duration of the repair, which may be extended to make more money from the hire. If the insurers refuse to pay, the crash victim becomes liable for the credit hire and I have heard of bills as high as £70,000 (while an Aston Martin was being repaired). £10,000 during the repair of a BMW is not unusual."

I used them a few years back when someone crashed into me. I can't fault the service they gave. They arranged everything with my insurance company and provided a new A4 while mine was being repaired. The hire costs were high but the insurance covered it. All repaired at an Audi body shop.

I would use them again.

I did get a very nice new A4 to run around in but as the crash wasn't my fault I didn't pay anything.

Car was taken to an Audi body shop and they dealt directly with my insurance company.

I would definitely use them again
