I hope you are able to help me ...
I have a 1996 audi a8 4.2 v8 with abz engine .... The timing belt snapped and destroyed engine
I then bought another abz engine and replaced it ...however the replacement abz engine i recieved was slightly different .. still an ABZ engine but noticed a few small changes such has the wiring loom was different so we swapped it over .
Anyway... replacement engine in ... cranks but no spark ! its getting fuel ... changed the crankshaft rotation sensor as old one was damaged.. checked all fuses all ok
Plugged diagnostic in after trying to start her and comes up with no codes .....
Enigne iam told was running perfectly before going into my car so havent checked the coil packs etc...
Reaplaced battery .. dont have code for radio .. not sure if this has anyhting to do with it
any ideas anyone ? Have we missed something ?
