Has anyone done a heater core flush on the mentioned vehicle? I want to do it myself, got the distiled water, new coolant for replenishment, the pump, the clear hose, but have an issue... I tried (sorry for the lack of pics, totally forgot to take some) to do this over the weekend, but ran into a problem. I took off the engine brace (which is sometimes described as a strut bar...) but just above the 2 connections to the heater core there is a kind of a plate, with some electrical connections on it. In order to have full access to the connections, I need to remove this plate, but, while one of the screws is accessible from above, the second one needs to have a big connector removed in order to reach it, which I don't want to do since I don't know what is up with it.
So, any ideas are welcome, is it safe to remove that connection? Has anyone done this operation on this engine? I cannot find anything online, no tutorial, nothing...
