Hi,

I've got a 2003 A4 1.8T (CVT model)

recently I noticed there is a jump in RPM of the car at 1500-2000 rpms at any gear.
Jumps around 100-200 rpms up at steady speed, and 200-300 when climbing.
Problem does not occur after 2000rpms.

First few seconds you will see it happen, defo not a change in gear.

Took to Mechanic, temperature sensor fault so had the sensor replaced.
No fault codes afterwards, PDNS does not flash, happens no matter engine is cold or not. Mechanic has no idea where to start with the problem.

Also when the car slows and goes below 1200 down to idle speed, can feel the car shudder a bit.

Any ideas? Its super annoying as it happens very often and you can feel the car jerk.

Thanks guys!

You mean totallt drain the oil and refill?

Yes, I think there is normally a filter in the box itself. Maybe somebody with experience of this box will be able to add to this!

Transmission fluid and filter should be changed every 4 years or 40k
