Audi A1 recall

I’ve booked the A1 in with Audi for a health check and the lady on the phone has mentioned about an update for the emissions. I think it’s classed as a recall. They’re going to update this when I take it in.

Does anyone know what this is or what it could be? I wasn’t aware of any recalls for the 2011 A1?

What model and gearbox is it?

I know there’s an issue with certain s tronic gearboxes!

Hi,

It’s the 1.6 tdi with a manual gearbox.

I ended up declining the update in the end anyway.

You may have declined it, and if emissions related that was a good decision as updates to fix the emissions scandal are not good for the engine, especially the EGR valve

However, are you sure they didn’t apply it anyway?

That’s what I got from reading up on it. It does more harm than good.

I can’t say for sure if they did it or not though. Is there a way to check?
