apple car play and android auto retro fitted

Hi all. My mate has just had this done in his 2017 TT by a retrofit company in Birmingham. It connects to his girlfriends iPhone without issue but wont connect to his android phone... he is using a Samsung note 10+ 5g.

Anyone else had this issue?

Make sure he has a data cable and not just a charging cable, can be as simple as that
