Anyone use them ?

http://www.vgsuk.com/

They are coming in £50 cheaper than Audi main dealer, but with all the BS I hear about Audi main dealer servicing, and that I also need an investigation on some creaking suspension, I am thinking an Indy may be a better option.

There aren't a lot of specialist Indies in London, AMD Tuning in Essex are CHEAP but use non genuine parts, VGS use genuine parts.

Can't you use AMD Tuning and ask them to use use genuine parts.

From all the stories my customers have told me, and my own experience with them when I had an A3 8P back in 2009, I would not let them fill up my washer bottle let alone complete a service on my car.

Tell the story Alix, it would be rude not to :)

In all fairness I did let the do my 8P, and it may have just been my brain and ocd, but the car never did feel right again, nor did it ever get its 68mpg again...

Would not be fair of me to repeat customers "stories" as I cannot validate them however my experience, when I had my first 8P 1.8TFSI Cabrio, was to take advantage of a Revo sale. Popped down to AMD for the flash and a dyno, dropped the car off and came back a while later. Car had been flashed but was told my tyres were "too wet" to be able to run a dyno and I would need to come back another time. I tried a number of times to arrange the dyno but was always given every excuse under the sun. Gave up in the end. Not that bad in the grand scheme of things but what I have heard is waaaaaaaaaay worse lol

If you are looking for someone in or around London to do your servicing then Russell Automotive are pretty good. I know people who have used them for years with no issues. Personally I used QSTuning but they are not local to us.

That means going across the river into bandit country. I would only do that for a very good woman or for large quantities of cash. :)

Yeah my AMD Essex cambelt and service - car came out stinking of oil, turbo spool up was very audible (it was not audible in the slightest before it went in), much more than it was before, and on the way home my usual 68mpg on a run was down to 50. Took it back, they felt it was one of the sensor's, ended up costing me for the parts, although after a discussion they did include the labour FOC...but it just felt wrong after that. But that is entirely subjective and may just be in my head. Never did see 68mpg again though.
