Not the best place is it, and can't be extended either as that would solve some issues.

I know a couple of people (and thought about it myself) have got an extension iPhone cable and run it out the back of the glovebox, through the tunnel and into the armrest. I didn't as I couldn't find a lightning extension at the time (only old 30 pin iPhone cable).

Or if you are android use a USB extension.

Ahh I had a 30 pin extension once. They sell lightning ones on eBay, if they work is another matter.

yep its still in the glove box which is a pita!

Mine came with lightning connection and female usb cable too

Yes it is, but bonus is that it has bluetooth connection which music can be played through and just use the lighter socket for a charger. i havent needed to use the socket in the glove box, probably never will.
