Airbag light

Airbag light has come on today and won't go off. I disconnceted the battery for over 15mins to wipe the fault code but the light remains on.....

before I spend out on a diagnostic, are there any quick checks to perform or common things it could be?


Nothing has been done to the car which could have caused the light to come on1

Get a hammer, and just hit the dash until you cant see the light anymore

Mine has come on twice before, my problem was basically a plug under either the passenger or drivers seat, can't remember 100% which one but think it was drivers, the plug comes apart and the light comes on, happens sometimes if someone has sat in the back. Prob put their feet under the seat and knocked it. Taken it to AMD both times and they have fixed it. Hope this helps.

MIGHT TAKE A OUPLE OF TIMES TO CLEAR THE CODE IN THE AIRBAG CONRTOLER MIND DID AFTER I REPALCED SOME BAGS

I had the seat connector fault with mine. Worth wiggling the wires.
