airbag light on

Run a check on it.

Comes back with 01221 crash sensor side airbag
. 011 open circuit. Drivers side

Anyone up to speed with these not that great with electrics on cars.

Where is this sensor situated on the car.

Im guessing open curcuit is its not connected in some way.

Just check the seat harness plugs.

If you have recently slide the seat all the way back it may have a loose connection and this is a common issue on most VAG cars.

Once done clear the fault and do a recheck of the system

Yea tried them nothing changed. Where is the crash sensor for the side airbags.

it is the door piller the one between the rear and front door, you have to put your set right forward, remove the bottom seat belt and trim and it is in there,,, I still have the problem

Ive got airbag light on too.
Driving home tonight and all fault lights started flashing and speedometer wouldnt work! all this @80mph.
Besides lights flashing and speedo not working it drove fine.
Got home,switched off and back on,all ok???

Done some checks and got 4 faults all relating to air bag...
