Since changing my front seats for B8 half leathers surprise surprise U have the airbag warning light on my dash.
Will this be down to non-compatibility? I had to splice the wiring together to change the plugs to fit my car sockets.
I didn't disconnect the battery whilst doing this, foolishly, will that be the problem?
I've also read about passenger seat sensors and having to swap them.
Now when fiddling this evening I've noticed the ESP warning light is now showing.
Any ideas at all?

have you run vcds to see what faults have been logged.

Could be several issues going on, airbag error will need clearing to start with along with ESP , if you can get a vcds scan you will have a much clearer idea on what the cause is.

Maybe drop Nigel ( @NHN ) a WhatsApp message as he's the resident Guru on all things electrical and coding etc.

After a bit more searching it would seem that I turned my ignition on before my seat plugs were connected up, so the airbag isn't recognised. Recoding appears to be the only way.

Just don't do it kids!
