Air Vent Removal

I've got the AudiPhoneHolder.com magnetic phone holder delivered now but I can't for the life of me take off the air vents the way their website describes! I've broken a bit of my nail attempting to get my finger nails behind on both sides and pulling and wriggling. Any one have any tips or tools I could use to aid me? It's an A3 8V by the way.

Trim removal tool or failing that an old credit card or store points card insert flat then twist a bit at a time and work your way around the vent.

Haha! I've seen that video. No help to me. Mines don't easily pop out like his does. I think the credit card trick will help me when I get to try it.
