Had the service done at Carrs at tresillion in cornwall while it was there this had failed, funny that

Anyway anyone no cost and part number its a 99 S3

No engine managment light on just runs funny

When these fail do they take the engine out with them ? Or is it more just a case of poor running ?
My 99/00 model year impreza was famed for engine failures directly attributed to MAF sensor failure

It can cause engine damage if left for too long or thrashed while using a knackered Maf (Incorrect AFR), but generally just causes poor running
