Air condition drip under car

My air con seems to have the normal pool of water under the car, it's definitely water as I have smelt it. What seems strange though is one of the plastic undertray panels is soaking wet above the pool. Surely it can't be normal that it routes it straight through a panel!

I'm a bit paranoid as I went over some rough ground on an unadopted road (very slowly, about 1mph) and got the dreaded scrape of the underbody, this prompted me to look under and see this. Could it be related?

When you are travelling at speed the discharged water could spread. If you're not sure then the only way to resolve it is to get the car up on a lift and have a look...
