Advise needed on two fault codes please?

In the last couple of days I've had my airbag and a brake warning light come on, don't know if it's just a coincidence or if the two problems are linked?
Scanned the car tonight and it's showing the two following errors, can anyone advise please?

check airbag switch where you can activate or deactivate airbag for passenger side...

I have a similar problem,I've just replaced the sterring rack,front wheel bearings, front brakes and some welding but no have the airbag light on the dashboard.

I had the batterys disconnected the hole time when doing the welding.

I have checked the passager side airbag ie put the key in turn it of start car then do it again but switching it on but no joy.

Would the airbag light on fail a mot?

I'm not trying to hijack just maby between us we could cure both cars :-D

If glovebox has been out make sure the connectors plugged in still & the brake light switch on pedal maybe faulty, check connections.

You need to find out via scan, why your light has illuminated, as there are many airbag system that would light this up & yes mot failure.

I think my airbag light was a blip as Ive cleared the fault codes and it hasn't come back on since(fingers crossed)

The brake pad warning light has come back on so a brake inspection is on the cards for this weekend.
Genuine front pads from Audi are about £90 which I've ordered today to be on the safe side.

For me it was because I had the seats out,got the code wiped for 20quid.

I had a warning fir breaks after I put new pads and discs(Delphi) .

Needed tracking done so got it done then funnyly the warning has gone (touch wood)
