Hi, I've been looking for a newer A6 and found a higher mileage 15 plate one for a decentish price. When I've dug into its history it's been well looked after engine wise, regular servicing and timing belt done but no mention of the s tronic box being serviced. It's done just under 140k surely the box must of been serviced in that time?

Audi suggest every 38k so why wouldn't it of been done?

Should I steer well clear?

Any help would be great

Rob

This is what Audi gave me for the service history, no mention of the box service.

I'm sorry, but if Inspection Service is not an oil change, then you aren't sure about those either therefore can not know if oil was changed regularly.

If Inspection Service is an oil change, then it was horrible looked after (23 000 miles between oil changes?).

Anyway, I would steer clear from this car.

Is that not around the long life service mileage?

Just searched inspection service which is normally a major service.

The dealer is 3 hours away so can't just pop round to look thru the paper work.

Might give it a miss, shame as it's the facelift c7 and specd nice.

Actually looking at the mileage the was nearly 28k between one of them. Then only a few miles on another.
