a4 avant tdi 143 dpf and egr gutting/removal/remap

Hi all,

Recently had a clutch done on my avant and now I have a ****** DPF warning on my dash. (unconnected I know)

Figured I should just look into getting the dpf gutted and and egr delete and get it remapped to suit.

Have had a generic map on it for a year or so but now I'm worried the car is going to suffer and as i do a fair mileage i figure annually I need to get this done so I don't get stranded on the motorway on the way home.

Few questions if anyone knows the answers i would be grateful.

Will it still pass an MOT with the DPF gutted and both that and EGR mapped out?

What sort of power could I expect from my little diesel engine?

Anyone able to recommend places down south (Colchester, essex/ London area) and give me an idea on prices?

That is my main concern addressed in that case!

I honestly don't care about what power I get as it's never gonna set the world alight.

Presumably it will be at least as good as the generic remap I have currently.

Better and a definite mpg increase as back pressure is reduced .
