I have a 53 plate A3 140 TDI & have had this error code
P2100 Throttle actuator control motor circuit open
I'm told that I need to replace the throttle actuator, but the bit that's confusing me is where the error code says 'circuit', could it be an electrical fault rather than the throttle actuator itself? It runs no different now to how it always has, which is not perfect but I'm led to believe that's down to something else (lumpy tickover, poor starting, occasional loss of coolant - cracked cylinder head/gasket??)
If I do need a new actuator, how easy is it do to, is there any setup or special tools required, & does anyone know where I can get one at a good price?
Thanks
