I had the same original door modules as you and replaced them with 5Q0 959 593 E, and 5Q0 959 592 E units purchased on e-Bay. But the new modules seem not be working properly as the windows are respondind backwards to the window sitches (they close when switch is pressed down and open when switch is pulled up). The mirror glass on the passenger side moves horizontally when the adjustment switch is moved vertically and vice versa. I couldn't find any coding on VCDS that could fix it. I'm guessing if it's possible that the new modules are not compatible with the car as they were previously installed in a Golf, even though they have the same part numbers. Did you have any of these issues with your retrofit?I ended up needing to upgrade my door modules as the ones I had did not have the door pins for the folding mirror motors.

Change your car country drive side... Right hand to left hand. Yes, that should work as I had the same issue. I use obd11, but it should be the same input that needs to be changed. Hopefully it should work and enjoy the new mirrors!Do you mean by checking/unchecking the box "Right-Hand-Drive (RHD) Model" in the door modules coding? I think I've configured both modules with the box unmarked as my car is LHD and I've purchased the modules from Germany, where cars are also LHD. Anyway, I'm going to double check those configurations tonight. Thanks.
I've tried do change RHD/LHD settings on the door modules and had a partial success. Marking the passenger module as RHD the mirror glass started to respond correctly to the adjustment switch. Now I have the left side module set as LHD and the right side set as RHD. Now the mirrors work, but the window opening/closing continue to respond reversely to the window switches on both sides. I even tried to change the driver side module to RHD too, but it had an even worse outcome since the switches on the left row began to control the windows on the right side and vice versa, and the driver side mirror stopped working.Yes, that should work as I had the same issue. What car do you have as in US or ROW spec car? I can send you my coding but mine is a US 2015 A3 Premium. It's most likely the coding is still incorrect as you bought used and are still thinking it's on previous car.I've tried do change RHD/LHD settings on the door modules and had a partial success. I've monitored the response to the window switches using VCDS Advanced Measuring and noticed that the module is interpreting correctly the actions from the switches and correctly displays the information about a switch being pulled up or pressed down, but it seems to be sending the wrong signals to the window motors. It displays "opening" when the window is closing and "closing" when it's opening. It's not impossible to keep using the car with that kind of reverse functioning, but I'm afraid I can have problems with the automatic rain closing feature and find my car with windows open when it's raining.
P.S.: Another thing that I've noticed is also behaving abnormally is the door lock/unlock switch. The door locks normally with the car keys and automatically when the car is moving, but with the new door modules the switch locks the car when unlock symbol is pressed, and unlocks it when I press the lock symbol.

I've checked your codings against mine and they don't differ much. My modules are coded asTry the long coding from below:
You can also ask @DJAlix to see if he has any solutions of backwards window switch controls. That's weird and I'd suspect it's a bad module.I've checked your codings against mine and they don't differ much. My modules are coded as
Left (driver side): 001002205000040000001002
Right(passenger): 001006205200040000001002
There are some differences related to presence of lights in the door on byte 1, fuel and rear lid buttons on byte 2, which I don't have installed in my car. I've also noticed that you have some configurations on the passenger side that are different from driver side, like the "LIN-Databus inactive" on byte 7 or "Window Motor Post run active" on byte 10 that made no sense to me. Anyway I've tried to enable/disable these features, but they made no difference. Actually I've tried to change most of the features that seemed to be possibly related to the window/mirror problem and even tried copying the long codings from the old door modules (which worked perfectly) with no success. The only thing that made a difference up to now was coding the passenger door as RHD, which made the mirror glass respond correctly but I had to undo the change because the mirror was folding when it had to unfold and unfolding when it had do fold. My latest attempt was flashing the passenger door module using Odis and downgrading its version to 5Q0959592D, but again nothing changed, so it seems that the problem is somewhere else, or maybe the modules are defective. Anyway, I've ordered a new pair of door modules, this time making sure they were originally installed in an A3 8V so maybe I have better luck. Meanwhile I can continue to look for a solution for the problem. Maybe it will be useful for others with the same issues.
Actually @DJAlix was the first person I contacted when I installed the modules and noticed that they were working strangely. He had already helped me a lot with the activation of CCS, auto rain closing and TPMS, and I'm always impressed with how he manages to find the time to help people even being so busy with a lot of professional appointments. Alex said he would have a look at the problem but it seems that it doesn't have an easily immediately identifiable cause. You can also ask @DJAlix to see if he has any solutions of backwards window switch controls. Yes, I'm thankful for him as he's helped me quite a bit with many issues. Well I hope you get it figured out soon so you can enjoy the new mirrors! I thought you meant the auto steering function... That be pretty impressions retrofit!I meant CCS - Cruise Control System.
For the door modules, while in vcd or obd11, you need to specify if the car is RHD or LHD. This will correct the issue with the windows functioning backwards.UPDATE: Finally replaced the door modules with a pair of units that originally belonged to an A3 8V and everything worked perfectly, with only minor changes on coding in order to fit present/non-present features in my car.
While I was waiting for the parts to be delivered I worked the problems around by inverting the wires on the window regulator and mirror folding motors (A3 8V has the same window regulator motors used in Golf VII, exact same part numbers, but they are mounted in opposite sides, right side motor in 8V is mounted left side in Golf VII and vice versa, which may explain the inverted signals from the door modules to open/close windows). There was no much to do about the inverted X-Y axis on the mirror adjustment though so I had to deal with this.
I believe there must be a way to configure the modules to work correctly according to Audi or Golf by coding that I couldn't figure out, but buying a part that was originally installed in the same car model solved the problem (and my goal wasn't to become a VAG door module specialist anyway). Hope it helps someone who's planning to retrofit mirrors and have to replace modules.

Document no longer exists, sorry. What coding are you looking for?@DJAlix I know this thread has been running for a while but is there any chance of you reinstating your coding document please? The dropbox link doesn't work.
I retrofitted the first of my power folding mirrors today.
cheers
David.

42 - Door Elect DriverJust the basic coding required to display the options on the MMI and door control module codings.
I suspect in the case of the door control module coding I've already correctly coded it but would like to confirm as could have an issue with one of the mirrors.
thanks pal
David.
Hello @DJAlix & @jungle are these part numbers still correct and current for the power fold mirrors? Looking to fit these to our MY18 S3 sportback, but want to be sure all is correct. ThanksThis is what i have ordered so far. The mirror assembly comes with everything in yellow.

Part numbers came from a 2014 A3 Saloon with folding mirrors. The only part we struggled with was the new surround for the switch as the dealer part diagrams are not clear.
This is what we have ordered for now and hopefully it is right! -

Hey guys! I have some coding issues with my LHD A3 8v 2013. I have fitted all the parts, and followed the coding from in here.
On the MMI Electric folding mirrors are set to "on". but nothing works - on door contact or when locking on the key.

I have modules for folding mirrors if you need them. Pm me as I have an extra set as my originals didn't support it.Still it is possible that your modules don't support the folding function.
I had the folding mirrors retrofitted too in my A3 Sportback. The folding mirros were working with a pair of modules 5Q0 959 593 A, and 5Q0 959 592 A that originated from an A3 coupe model that originally had the folding mirror function. (the folding mirrors came with those modules).
I even tried the mirrors with my orignal modules that were also 5Q0 959 593 A, and 5Q0 959 592 A, however, I got the '' function not supported'' error in VCDS.
So, the problem thereafter is, that in VCDS, I got errors from the rear doors (cannot be reached) even though everything worked fine. Since I don't wanted the errors, I found another pair of modules 5Q0 959 593 B, and 5Q0 959 592 B that originally came from an A3 sportback that also had factory installed folding mirrors. The right side worked fine. But the left module was defect. So I had to search again for a left module. Eventually found one for the left side 5Q0 959 593 E (with reference 5Q0 959 593 B) and now everything works fine with the doors/mirrors. The letters behind the part number seems, as far as I've noticed, just to be a mark of manufacturing period
Before I got the new sportback left side module, I tried a module that came from an A3 saloon, but got errors with the trunk - something. I had to remove a certain trunk lid function in VCDS in order to get the error away but still thought that wasn't the way it should be.
This means the modules are somehow parametrized in a certain way according to the specific model of your A3. The same part number doesn't automatically mean the same functions supported within it.
